Manjaro Linux Beginners Guide

This book is for users of windows and mac, who want to switch to Linux and particularly to Manjaro Linux for one or the other reason. The most common reason provided by computer users for switching to Linux is “it’s free”. Apart from being “free”, Linux may be useful for a variety of reasons:

1. Linux can support your old laptop/PC with reasonable speed.
2. Linux does not require anti-virus software which is generally installed on windows PC and unnecessarily keeps consuming resources and slow down your laptop or PC.
3. Linux can be used effectively for programming and code learning purposes. It has powerful compilers for python, c,c++, java, etc
4. Using Linux will enhance your knowledge

In this book, my basic assumption about readers is that they have basic knowledge of PC and their working. I am not going to use VM (virtual machine) for the installation of Linux along with windows. Using VM on Windows’ PC for running Linux can tremendously reduce the speed of Linux and windows. All the basic commands and linux softwares have been discussed in the book.
